We are currently looking for a Circuit Board Assembler to join our team in Columbia, TN. Candidate will be responsible to conduct a variety of circuit board assembly work on various sizes and complexity – SMT and THROUGH HOLE, inspection, repair/rework and in some cases minor testing on electronic systems to ensure the product functions according to company and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Hand soldering and inspection
  • Use of a microscope while performing soldering work for extended periods
  • Micro soldering Integrated Circuit (IC) chips and other SMT components using hand-soldering irons and hot air reflow equipment
  • Advance soldering rework skills of printed wiring boards.
  • Perform SMT rework, removing and replacing SMT components without damage, while inspecting operations to ensure quality of product.
  • Perform rework/repair of internal product to ensure Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) are reworked to the required customer and industry standards.
  • Interact with Production Control, Quality, and Engineering on a daily basis
  • Able to assemble and inspect circuit card assemblies with the aid of a microscope (training on site)
  • Read and comprehend complex work instructions, drawings and parts lists
  • Simple equipment maintenance and upkeep tasks

  • Ability to use hand tools; cutters, wire strippers, etc.
  • Must be able to remove and replaced defective components

Qualifications

  • Min 2 years (required) of hand soldering surface mount, through hole, electronic component identification, and preforming rework on printed circuit boards
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong schematic, print, and BOM aptitude
  • Knowledge of ESD practices and procedure
  • Training to industry standards (IPC, J-Std) *preferred
